The Art of Running in the Rain

I could honestly live in this dress if it was socially acceptable.  I feel like I still haven’t found many things (aside from boyfriend jeans and joggers) that are as comfy as a maxi dress.  I also love how I found this dress, the story is actually quite the testament to why having a capsule wardrobe is such a good thing for me.

I was in Portland with Dave and a friend shopping on Hawthorne street (Hawthorne is one of my FAVorite Portland neighborhoods).  I wasn’t super happy with what I was wearing, so when I saw this dress in Buffalo Exchange I jumped on it and changed into it immediately.  On the one hand, I found this awesome dress that I’m in love with now.  On the other, I was clothes shopping in an outfit that I didn’t like (that’s like grocery shopping when you’re hungry).  I don’t have that problem lately, I love my 37 items, and although I see things that I’d like to have, I feel satisfied enough with what I have that I can overlook them.
